Hi all,

Slightly odd request but I need to find out some more info about two
paintings featured in the Shining.

During the film when things are turning sour we cut to Florida (I think) and
see Scatman in his hotel/apartment thinking about the Overlook and the
family, on the wall above his bed and on another wall are two highly cheesy
paintings of naked females with gigantic afro's.

Anyone know who these paintings are by, where I can find them online, etc?

Any help much appreciated.

I remember being in an antique store outside of Midland, Michigan and
seeing one of the paintings in question. It looked like a
photographic blow-up or painting of a photograph. I wanted to buy it
but it was in dire shape and I didn't much have a use for it. I don't
recall seeing an artist's signature on it, but it may have been below
the frame. I have a feeling they were semi-mass produced for
nightclubs and bars and bachelor pads in the late 1970's.

Perhaps Katharina, being a painter and being closely involved with
production on the film, would know?
